A significant part of Jesus ministry is inducing crises of faith. By healing on the Sabbath, he challenges the conventional wisdom that the purpose of life is to maintain rituals and little formulas. But Jesus vision for us is so much bigger, and hes not afraid to challenge our faith to free us and bring us to greater maturity.
